According to a recent Pew Research survey, TikTok, a platform for video content, is among the most popular social media sites for American teenagers, while Facebook's popularity has declined.
According to the study, 35% of teenagers claimed they use Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, or at least one of those platforms almost daily. Teens that use YouTube closely follow TikTok and Snapchat users, who are particularly active on these sites.
At least 55 percent of US teens said they spend about the right amount of time on these apps and sites while 36 percent of them said they spent too much time on social media. The remaining eight percent said they spend too little time on these platforms.
